I'm not usually one to do this type of thing (as it usually lends itself to comment hoarding), but I actually think there are merits to the following challenge.

According to 's journal the specifications are as follows: "The first 20 people who comment on this journal will get a feature here, showing off the 3-4 deviations in your gallery I like most. And in turn you must submit a journal like this and give me the first slot of the 20 features." I like the idea of expanding art exposure, especially for for artists who find it more difficult to obtain, but the art history nerd in me revels at the chance to examine art thoughtfully and give commentary. So I'm going to give it a shot.

As I'm sure you already know, I'm a sucker for good Diablo 2 art as it is a rarity nowadays. From my comments you have probably learned I am also a big fan of the way you style your figures; I may have mentioned Disney in the past, but only because it is unique enough that I have no better example to compare it too. I am a particular fan of the "Young Diablo" series as I'm always on the look for creative takes on the lore. It would be boring to me if the characters just fought demons all the time. The "Young Diablo" drawings lend a playfulness in terms of the sorceress, a tranquility in the form of the druid and a slight angst in the case of the necromancer that feels new and interesting to me. I would love to see the set for all seven! I'm a fan of the detail that is achieved in the pencil pieces (the whorls in the tree bark, the symbols on the spell books, the mid-creation blood golem etc), but I also like the sort of two-toned, graphic colored piece as well. I like that you do what I have not yet accomplished; eliminated the needs for big, solid, cartoon-y black lines everywhere. All in all, love your Diablo stuff and always on the look out for more!

Although most things have more than two layers of color, the secondary layer merely implies any embellishment to the finished product whether it be highlights and lowlights or adjustments to the background or special effects or anything else.
